I am convinced that Jesus was the revelation to us that God is not for a single tribe or country or "in club", but for all people, and am constantly searching for ways to graft people who might feel marginalized, especially by the church, into family.

I certainly have not figured it all out yet.

These are hard questions, hot topics, and controversial opinions that we will not all agree on, and thats the beautiful thing about family and community -- this is all a choice. I think Jesus modeled more than just a meal when he gathered his disciples around the table.

The table has long been a place where families who fear they might be torn apart can choose ways to stay together instead.

With that in mind, I will be an active participant in the comment sections of the blog, but feel free to contact me below to dialogue with any questions or feedback, and reach out if you'd like to participate in an upcoming guest blog post, podcast, discussion group, etc.

Blog Guidelines

While my perspective is often a progressive Christian one, this website is a safe faith-positive space for ALL people - evangelicals and mainline Protestants, Catholics, agnostics and atheists, queer and straight, of all ethnicities and socioeconomic backgrounds who find themselves wrestling with faith and purpose. Many are recovering from spiritual abuse or trauma. Please remain mindful of the divine in one another and kind in the comments section at all times.

This is our wine stained communion. It is holy, messy, and sacred. Lets keep it that way.
